Follow-up
After the first consultation, we plan an individual follow-up plan. Many clients choose a health package, including 1 initial consultation and 4 or 8 follow-up hours. We are available by phone or email for any questions. During follow-up sessions, we assess your progress and make necessary adjustments to your plan, and provide further guidance. The weight is measured with a Tanita scale, and the follow-up calls last 15 or 30 minutes, as needed.

Frequently asked questions about Insulin Resistance

1. What is insulin resistance and how does it affect my health?

Insulin resistance is a condition in which the body's cells become less receptive to the hormone insulin, which is responsible for regulating blood sugar levels. This can lead to a number of health problems, including type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease.

2. What are the most common symptoms and risk factors associated with insulin resistance?

The common symptoms of insulin resistance include fatigue, frequent hunger, increased thirst and urination, and blurred vision. Risk factors for insulin resistance include obesity, physical inactivity, a family history of type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure or cholesterol levels.

3. Can insulin resistance be reversed and what are the primary treatment options available?

Insulin resistance can often be reversed through lifestyle changes such as a healthy diet, regular exercise and weight loss. In some cases, medications may also be prescribed by your doctor to help manage blood sugar levels and increase inulin sensitivity in cells.

4. How can an individual diet plan help me manage insulin resistance effectively?

An individualized diet plan can help you manage insulin resistance by identifying foods that can cause spikes in blood sugar levels and recommending a balanced diet that can help regulate blood sugar levels and weight loss. This can help reduce and reverse insulin resistance and improve overall health and well-being.

5. What role does physical activity play in controlling insulin resistance, and what types of exercises are recommended?

Regular physical activity can help control insulin resistance by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin and improving blood sugar regulation. Both aerobic exercises, such as brisk walking, cycling and swimming, and strength training exercises, such as weight lifting, are recommended to improve insulin resistance.

Such as quitting smoking, weight loss, limiting alcohol consumption and managing stress can help improve insulin resistance management. These changes can help reduce inflammation, improve blood sugar regulation, and promote overall health and well-being.
